The Challenge

Thump Studio came to me with a clear ambition: they wanted to lead by example. As a design studio with purpose at its core, they knew their brand needed a powerful centerpiece, something that would embody their values and attract the right kind of clients.

For me, the challenge was to turn their mission into tangible assets that didn’t just say “heart”—but showed it in a way that felt sophisticated, culturally aware, and emotionally magnetic.

We turned Thump’s mission of ‘designing with heart’ into a living, shape-shifting 3D centerpiece that now defines their brand presence.

Solution

Application

I designed a living, pulsing 3D heart that cycles through five different materials, each representing one of Thump’s core values: Purpose, Innovation, Collaboration, Culture & Lifestyle, and Sustainability.

Instead of a literal or overly sentimental approach, I balanced playfulness with sophistication — crafting a visual that feels alive, premium, and versatile. Each texture (glass, stone, wood, chrome, etc.) was chosen to resonate with its value while still fitting cohesively into one visual language.

The innovation here was in making the heart not just a symbol, but a dynamic system. By animating it with rhythmic pulses and rotations, and by cutting seamlessly between material shifts, the heart became more than a static icon—it became an evolving story of values in motion. This approach aligns with today’s brand reality: brands are no longer just logos, they’re living systems that need to flex across platforms and audiences while staying consistent at the core.

Process

How we worked

Throughout, my role was more than execution — I guided the process, balancing Thump’s vision with strategic design decisions. The result was not just a beautiful animation, but a visual system that gave their mission form, clarity, and longevity.

I produced five looping animations, high-res static renders, close-ups, and a combined “collection” animation. To inspire further use, I also created layout concepts showing how the visuals could appear across different brand touchpoints.
